Use glass cleaner or mild soap and a soft cloth to clean your stainless steel toekick

Here at stainless steel toekick.com, we recommend using glass cleaner or mild soap and a soft cloth. Spray the cleaner onto the surface of the toekick, and wipe in the direction of the grain. This will reduce any streaks left behind by the cleaner and keep your toekick looking great for years to come.

Cleaning methods to avoid and why:

1.   Chlorine-based cleaners  Chlorine will react with the finish on the stainless steel and cause it to rust over time.

2.  Abrasive cleaners  The abrasive in the cleaners will create scratches in the finish of the stainless steel toe kick.

3.  Up-and-down scrubbing motions  When cleaning grained finish toe kicks, don’t use an up-and-down motion against the grain, as that motion may create a haze to the finish over time regardless of how much or little abrasive is in the cleaner. Mirrored finish stainless steel doesn’t have a grain so you can be more flexible with the direction of your cleaning.
